Good to see you made it to the Mapping forum, If you are interested in extending the landscape in which dystopia inhabits
You've come to the right place, The 3rd party mapping scene for dystopia is a growing, friendly and quite helpful community welcoming of budding level designers.

That's where this post comes in. The Team Dystopia Level Dev team will be keeping this thread it nice and updated with all the information that this forum contains for potential third party mappers.

Generally we keep stickies to a minimum here now because the majority of the important mapping information lives on the Mapping Section of the Dystopia Wiki though we do have a few handy topics kept up top to help you get going...

This forum is for people to pimp their work, get help, ask questions, shoot for ideas, essentially anything level design related at all.

Yeah, the dystopia gcf is in the steamapps folder now.

* First download GCFScape from here: http://nemesis.thewavelength.net/index.php?c=169
* Use GCFScape to open C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\dystopia live content.gcf
* Browse to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\cyanyde420\dystopia\Dystopia\ and select the materials folder.
* right-click > extract to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\cyanyde420\dystopia\Dystopia\ and click ok.

Finally, do the same with the models folder.
All together it's about 1gb of extra stuff, but it will allow you to use these assets in Hammer.

Have fun!

ps. thx for the head's up! :)
