How to join "Bleeding Edge" nightly test verison

I figured we could use more eyeballs on our latest internal changes as we work on them before going live with a patch. Instructions are as follows:

1. On Steam, right click Blade Symphony and go to properties
2. In the Betas tab, in the text box enter a password to unlock the beta. The password is winteriscoming
3. In the box above, switch from None to "Nightly" (not Nightly-Prod)
4. The game will now patch itself on Steam. Wait for it to finish.
5. Join the server marked as Nightly Dedicated. This is the only server that will work.

Some notes about Nightly testing

• Expect lots of bugs and even crashes. Everything here is experimentation.
• Join our IRC #punyhuman on gamesurge.irc.net to talk to us and other testers about Nightly build gameplay changes.
• If you report bugs on https://getsatisfaction.com/bladesymphony please tag it with "nightly" so we know it's a bug on nightly not live.
• Your stats should not be affected on Nightly as it has its own stats, and all swords should be unlocked (or you're given a bunch of notes I forget which).

I think this will be a good way for anyone who wants to participate in testing and previewing the latest changes before they get pushed out to every player.

Hi. I've updated to nightly and my swords are locked and I don't have notes, is there anything i can do(beside gaining a lot of notes again) to test the other weapons?

Will everything be unchanged (like notes, unlocked masks and swords, etc.) once you go back to normal, or does it change your game stats permanantly?

It won't change your stats, it just uses nightly stats.

You won't have notes but it won't matter because you can still use all the sword types.

I have switched to nightly a couple of times and can never find a server marked as nightly dedicated. When do you usually get on?

The nightly server will be the one that when you are running on nightly isn't showing "server uses different version".

For some reason when I go to Properties and open the BETAS tab the only option I get is 'None', no 'Nightly'. Is it supposed to be like this atm, or am I doing something wrong? ^^;

The behavior was changed, you need to enter the password first before you can see the beta now.

I really want to help in this but it is rare when i find people on the server, and waiting on the server is really boring. I also can't just switch from server to server and wait for someone to join because i have to restart to do the testing. :\
